What information is collected

Browsing and searching this site doesn’t require any personal information at all. The only information collected is what you choose to enter yourself: if you’d like access to the free sheet music and lyric slide downloads, you’ll be asked for your email address, and optionally your first name, through the signup form. That’s the extent of it—there are no accounts, no payment details, and nothing collected without you actively typing it in.

How that information is used

Your email address is used to send communications from Christy Kohnle Music—new songs, blog posts, newsletters, and occasional recommendations Christy believes would genuinely be valuable to you, including songs, resources, or ministries she partners with from time to time. Your email address itself is never sold, rented, or handed over to any third party to use for their own marketing—any partner content you ever see will always come from Christy directly, as part of what she personally sends, never as a way for someone else to reach you on their own. The only place your email address is stored is with the email service provider described below, which exists solely to deliver these communications on this site’s behalf.

Third-party services used

This site relies on a small number of outside services to work, each of which processes a limited amount of information on this site’s behalf:

Mailchimp stores and manages the email signup list, and sends the update emails you opt into. You can read Mailchimp’s own privacy policy for details on how they handle that data.
Google Analytics is used to understand aggregate site usage—things like which pages and songs are most visited—so the site can keep improving. This data is anonymized and reported in aggregate; it is not used to identify individual visitors.

Cookies and local storage

Google Analytics uses standard cookies to gather the aggregate usage information described above. Separately, this site uses your browser’s local storage—a small piece of data saved directly on your own device, not a tracking cookie—to remember that you’ve already unlocked the free downloads, so you’re not asked to sign up more than once. That’s the only thing it’s used for; it isn’t used for advertising or shared with anyone.

Your choices and rights

You can unsubscribe from emails at any time using the link included in every email sent. If you’d like your information corrected or deleted entirely, or if you’d like to know exactly what’s on file for you, email ckkohnle@christykohnle.com and that request will be handled promptly—wherever in the world you’re writing from.

Children’s privacy

This site is not directed at children, and personal information is not knowingly collected from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has submitted their email address here, please reach out and it will be removed.

If this page is ever updated in a meaningful way, the date below will change to reflect that. Checking back occasionally is the best way to stay current.
